file icon one-approach-to-NHIN-2hot! Hits: 225
This lengthy document was a "non-response" to the NHIN 2 solicitation. It was submitted as an "optional task" under the IHIE proposal with the expectation that it would not be funded. It presents one way the existing MidSouth inititiave could address the ambitious, unprioritized, and over-ambitious aims of the NHIN 2 solicitation. Because of EVMS constraints and the ambitious scope, it was felt that the work would require over $4m and would be exteremely high-risk. It is posted as a reference and as a guide for realizing the 12 or more core services that seem both immediately relevant and sound.
